Chebe is the haircare secrets of an African ethnic group in Chad known to have very long naturally coarse hair that famously goes passed their rear ends. They cover their hair in a home made mixture that keeps their hair super moisturized and lubricated which is the reason given for why they say their hair never breaks; even from childhood. Ingredients: - Chébé seeds (Croton zambesicus/Croton du Zambèze) - "Mahllaba soubiane" seeds - "Missic" resin to scent - Cloves - "Samour" resin - Scented oil - Vegetable oil The ingredients are very specific to Chad. Directions: Take 100 g of your favorite cream, mix with 100 g of oil of your choice and add a teaspoon of mixed shébé powder. The first step is to get the hair wet using regular water and alternate between the hair grease mix that you just made and the chébé powder mix until the hair is fully saturated. They then re-braid the hair and once that braid is done wet it again with water. They repeat that routine every 3 to 5 days. Some people may initially think that their hair length is due to genetics, after inquiring on the subject the women said that it was most definitely NOT due to genetics since they do not apply chébé powder mixture to their bangs which, in turn, stay short. However the parts of the hair which they do use the powder mixture on in their routine doesn't break and grows very long and strong.

Review:I put this on before i braided my hair and my hair was literally growing out of my scalp so silky and moisturized. It did itch my scalp but if you watch youtube reviews, it will do that. But overall it is AMAZING! 10/10 recommend. Read more

Review:This stuff has a smokey and earthy scent that I honestly like. Also, the herbs spread very well onto my hair. I do not mind the messiness because I protect my bra-strap length hair in a wig as a protective style anyway. I originally thought 50g was a small amount for $17, but for me, that will last a while. My hair is only washed once every 2-3 weeks, low manipulation, so I can really spread this ration out. Overall, I am impressed with the great quality. Read more

Review:This was my first time trying this product. I have kinky-coily, 4c, grey, dense dry hair. I washed my hair then mixed 1 teas of the chebe powder with some black castor oil, Shea hydrating deep condt and warm water. I placed this in my hair being careful not to get it on my scalp. I then covered my hair with a plastic cap and then a hair scarf. I left the product in for 4.5 hrs. I rinsed it out good to make sure all of the chebe was removed. I finished my hair with an acv rinse and sprayed aloe vera juice. After an hour I put in my leave in, oil and curl creme. My hair was so soft and moisturized. I love this product and plan to use it once or twice monthly. The price is a little high for the amount you get but based on the results, it’s worth it! Read more

Review:I did not like this product Chebe. I used Chebe Powder after reading about several good reviews, doing research about Chad and following a young lady's hair journal on YouTube. I kept in mind that I was not born in Chad and that everyone's natural hair is different. I have type 5 my hair is already soft and curls up fast with water, my hair is also thin and chin length. I thought the Chebe would provide thickness and the length in others that used it for long periods of time. I mixed it with Cantu leave in moisture cream and Shea butter oil. After it became a paste I applied to hair in sections of 4 braids. I did not like the earth dirt smell its not stink but its strong if your sensitive to smell, because I like to be warm under the covers the heat from my body made me sweat and the smell from the Chebe became stronger, the small seeds begin to get in my eye from sweat, I kept it on the next day to around 6:00pm, from 7:00pm on Wednesday night day I applied u til 6:00pm, Thursday evening so about 13 hours. After one day. I could not take the smell and washed it out. It had stripped my hair and the natural oils and made my hair even more thin. It changed the texture of my hair. For me it was not the best product, not be because it a bad product but it just wasn't for my hair type. If your hair is already soft thin and curls when simple water is applied, I suggest not to use Chebe. I suspect it may work for hair that is thick and hard to manage. I wanted my hair to grow in length but glad I washed it out in one day. I could have damaged my hair even more if I had been able to stand the smell. I will continue use my regular hair care. I have learned moisture is important for my hair and not to keep a dry scalp. Read more

Review:Didn't realize it was going to be this small but thats my own fault, i should have read it properly. This is the real stuff and has a lovely smokey earth smell! For the people who are saying it didn't grow your hair you're using it with the wrong intentions! Chebe powder is only meant for length retention!!! It doesn't grow your hair as it should NOT be applied to the scalp or skin! (Because it clogs pores) amazing product i love it! Im going to make my own chebe butter to use in my hair along with shea butter and cocoa butter!💞💞 Read more
