Chebe Powder Sahel Cosmetics Traditional Chadian Chébé Powder, African Beauty Long Hair Secrets (50g)…

  • ASIN: B07ZG2S9TQ
  • Quantity Left: 999

PKR Rs. 5,353.00 /-

Chebe is the haircare secrets of an African ethnic group in Chad known to have very long naturally coarse hair that famously goes passed their rear ends. They cover their hair in a home made mixture that keeps their hair super moisturized and lubricated which is the reason given for why they say their hair never breaks; even from childhood. Ingredients: - Chébé seeds (Croton zambesicus/Croton du Zambèze) - "Mahllaba soubiane" seeds - "Missic" resin to scent - Cloves - "Samour" resin - Scented oil - Vegetable oil The ingredients are very specific to Chad. Directions: Take 100 g of your favorite cream, mix with 100 g of oil of your choice and add a teaspoon of mixed shébé powder. The first step is to get the hair wet using regular water and alternate between the hair grease mix that you just made and the chébé powder mix until the hair is fully saturated. They then re-braid the hair and once that braid is done wet it again with water. They repeat that routine every 3 to 5 days. Some people may initially think that their hair length is due to genetics, after inquiring on the subject the women said that it was most definitely NOT due to genetics since they do not apply chébé powder mixture to their bangs which, in turn, stay short. However the parts of the hair which they do use the powder mixture on in their routine doesn't break and grows very long and strong.

Review:This was my first time trying this product. I have kinky-coily, 4c, grey, dense dry hair. I washed my hair then mixed 1 teas of the chebe powder with some black castor oil, Shea hydrating deep condt and warm water. I placed this in my hair being careful not to get it on my scalp. I then covered my hair with a plastic cap and then a hair scarf. I left the product in for 4.5 hrs. I rinsed it out good to make sure all of the chebe was removed. I finished my hair with an acv rinse and sprayed aloe vera juice. After an hour I put in my leave in, oil and curl creme. My hair was so soft and moisturized. I love this product and plan to use it once or twice monthly. The price is a little high for the amount you get but based on the results, it’s worth it! Read more

Review:This stuff has a smokey and earthy scent that I honestly like. Also, the herbs spread very well onto my hair. I do not mind the messiness because I protect my bra-strap length hair in a wig as a protective style anyway. I originally thought 50g was a small amount for $17, but for me, that will last a while. My hair is only washed once every 2-3 weeks, low manipulation, so I can really spread this ration out. Overall, I am impressed with the great quality. Read more

Review:I did not like this product Chebe. I used Chebe Powder after reading about several good reviews, doing research about Chad and following a young lady's hair journal on YouTube. I kept in mind that I was not born in Chad and that everyone's natural hair is different. I have type 5 my hair is already soft and curls up fast with water, my hair is also thin and chin length. I thought the Chebe would provide thickness and the length in others that used it for long periods of time. I mixed it with Cantu leave in moisture cream and Shea butter oil. After it became a paste I applied to hair in sections of 4 braids. I did not like the earth dirt smell its not stink but its strong if your sensitive to smell, because I like to be warm under the covers the heat from my body made me sweat and the smell from the Chebe became stronger, the small seeds begin to get in my eye from sweat, I kept it on the next day to around 6:00pm, from 7:00pm on Wednesday night day I applied u til 6:00pm, Thursday evening so about 13 hours. After one day. I could not take the smell and washed it out. It had stripped my hair and the natural oils and made my hair even more thin. It changed the texture of my hair. For me it was not the best product, not be because it a bad product but it just wasn't for my hair type. If your hair is already soft thin and curls when simple water is applied, I suggest not to use Chebe. I suspect it may work for hair that is thick and hard to manage. I wanted my hair to grow in length but glad I washed it out in one day. I could have damaged my hair even more if I had been able to stand the smell. I will continue use my regular hair care. I have learned moisture is important for my hair and not to keep a dry scalp. Read more

Review:Love this product. I mixed teaspoons of Chebe Powder with my leave-in conditioner and oil fir one application. There is more than enough in the 50 gram bag to last me about 3 months or more. I noticed that I definitely have less shedding when detanhling and my hair is really moisturized. Read more

Review:So the chebe powder itself has a lot of benefits from all the research I’ve done. The product I received was okay. The powered itself has a very strong smell. You can smell it everywhere. I did think I would’ve received more product but was a lot smaller than I had expected. I mixed my In with a conditioner and left it in with a few days. It can get very messy! Also beware it can clog your sinks. My bathroom sink and tub were clogged by this product. So just be careful. Chebe straightened my hair also. It almost was this 4c texture but straight. I wouldn’t recommend leaving it in for as long as I did, I had it in for a week straight in big braids. Read more

Review:We received our order of Chebe powder on the morning of Saturday 2/1/2021. 2 to 4 days earlier than the date we expected them to arrive. On first observation the packaging was different to the online image. This packaging was black with sticky labels on front and back, the product packaging we ordered online was white with black and gold writing, a map of Africa, no sticky labels and the words Sahel Cosmetics prominently displayed. Then I noticed the label on my package had been torn, plus there was no indication on the package to say how much was in there. I messaged my daughter to see if she had received hers, she had. Her package was the same as mine but stated 100g. When we weighed her package it weighed 96g! We called the seller who explained, she buys her Chebe powder from Mrs Sahel in Chad. And said we could check her out on Instagram (Treasure Empire Store) for reassurance. She also said she used to be with Mrs Sahel but is now selling under her own branding (Rho-Treasure/Treasure Empire Store?) and that she also sells directly from Chad. I checked the weight of the package on my digital scales and sent her a photo via WhatsApp of the package on the scales, while we were speaking. The weight read 47g. When I challenged her, she said she had run out of 50g labels and had to use the 100g labels (hence the torn label). Also the discrepancy in the weight is due to using different scales. If I didn’t have any digital scales I wouldn’t have known the weight of the package! The order was for 2 x 100g packets! She also sent me images of other products she was selling, all of which were labelled Chebe powder. The image had already caught my attention on the Internet before she sent it, due to the difference in price! We paid £18.99 for ours on Amazon, the price on the other image, exact same product and labelling as what I received, was £8.60 + £2.90 p&p on eBay! She said she sells on Amazon and eBay and prices would differ according to the platforms you are selling on. She offered to reimburse the cost of the products once we sent them back to her, alternatively she would send the other 50g packet to make up the shortfall once we sent proof that we had indeed ordered 100g of the product! We opted to send the products back and get our money refunded! It seems everyone is selling Chebe powder off the back of Mrs Sahel in Chad, which is fine, I suppose, but when you receive a package which bares no resemblance to that which you ordered and no explanation given as to why packaging is different! No mention of Mrs Sahel! It causes concern and raised eyebrows! Read more

I don't use the product as conditioner for several days as I live it different climate to where cheba is made. I mix the product with natural cremes for the hair (not too much or you will fake after few days). Since than my hair has got thicker and my split ends has improved. No I'm lazy with my hair and don't keep to routines so it great for me. Read more
