Review:I (believe) this is my first review of anything I've purchased, but this product is so amazing I just really felt I needed to! It has undoubtedly saved me loads of money on trips to the salon (which I am too lazy for anyway). You can see for yourself in the pictures how well it has worked for me. Bottom right is from April, the day I first got my hair colored at the salon. The photo on the left (with product pictured) is from May, and the the top right is from a week ago. I have not been to the salon since April, and have only used ONE BOTTLE of Extreme Purple Colorwash! My hair looks just as good (maybe even better, because the Colorwash shampoo has added extra purple to my non-bleached brown roots and created beautiful purple highlights) as the day I got it professionally colored. I use this product 1-3 times a week (the purple does fade a bit if I only use it once a week, but it doesn't look bad) and just enough to create a nice lather. I leave it on for about 5 minutes, or however long it takes to shave my legs, then rinse in cool-ish water (I take super hot showers so it's probably more like warm/lukewarm water), and follow up with my regular conditioner. My hair is super soft and undamaged, just as if I had used my regular shampoo. The shampoo doesn't dye my skin, but it will leave a purple stain in the tub the comes out pretty easily with vinegar and a washcloth. Anyway, the point is I'm VERY impressed and IN LOVE with this shampoo ❤️ Read more

Review:This might be long, but bare with me because it's worth it and will probably answer a lot of questions about the product. I rarely am pleased enough with a product to do a review but if I am I make sure it's thorough! So a while back I am about to have my first boy and want to put some blue in my hair for my maternity photos, 3 stylists later and a bunch of mess ups and I have to settle on an oil rainbow style. To do this my whole head was bleached. I have my baby and after recovery my hair is crap where all the colors were except purple, my purple still looks awesome. So instead of going back to brown I decide to get crazy and do my whole head purple. (First row of photos is the day of and after getting my hair done at the salon.) My hair was not bleached a second time, purple was just put over the faded color but it still looked amazing. Fast forward to 4 months later and I have had faded purple hair for a while. (Second row of pictures.) As you can see it was now almost a light magenta and some spots were yellowish and some were back to blonde. I don't want to go to the salon every couple of months so I decide to just get a brown box dye off Amazon. I search and this product pops up. I read all the reviews and don't believe them but I love my purple hair so I decide to try and if it doesn't work then I'll go back to brown. 2 days later my product arrives, and after reading all the reviews I can stand and all the info under the questions area, I use it. I chose the conditioner over the shampoo because I have dry ends and that's where it was going. I put it on dry hair, it probably took 15 minutes to get it everywhere. I was not able to comb thru it like others say they did, it just made knots when I tried. I did have gloves on so I just massaged it in everywhere until I was covered. I then left it sit for 20 minutes or so. I jumped into the shower and it still felt a little dry for me so I used a tiny bit of my biolage color care shampoo and very quickly rubbed it in and rinsed. I followed that with my cleansing all natural conditioner and then my regular conditioner sat on it while I finished my shower. The last row of photos is my result after that initial use. All I can say is holy freaking crap I cannot believe how well it worked. I've told and showed probably 7 people in just the first 24 hours what this product has done for me. Now mind you this was probably almost 7 months after my initial bleaching, two fashion color dye jobs, and 4 months of fading before I found this to try it. It has not only made my hair feel and smell amazing but my color is possibly better than the day I left the salon! Everyone who has asked about it is now going to get it, since they have fashion colors and natural colors, to use on their hair! DO NOT let the negative reviews get to you, this product is meant for professionally bleach treated or blond dyed hair! You must have had that as a base at some point and those with negative reviews seem to be ones who didn't know it's not meant for natural hair. It can't stick to natural hair! If you have not had your hair bleached or dyed a shade of blond by a stylist or professional kit it will not work for you! However, if you have, this is a GAME CHANGER! I will not be going back to brown. I'll stick to having my hair bleached once a year or so and using this product! I have not had it on long enough to know how long it will last. With how great it turned out the first use I don't want it any darker so I won't use it again until the color turns back to that pinkish magenta in the second row of pictures. When that time comes, I'll update my review with how long it lasted and add pictures. If you are thinking of getting this and have had your hair treated with a bleach kit or have had it dyed blond, this is the product for you! It seriously works, I still can't believe it and all the people who see me daily are all getting their owe bottle already! GET IT! You won't be sorry! Read more

Review:I am growing out my natural grey/silver hair, and the lengths are bleached light blonde with a unpleasant yellow tinge. For the last year I have tried so many toners, purple shampoos, color rinses, etc. This is the only product that my hair is all the same color and I am finally free of the yellowish hue. The first time I used it I applied to wet hair, but just on the bleached part, and left on for several minutes. Not a big difference...but after the second time, bye bye yellow. Oh, the second time I applied to dry hair, again just on the bleached parts, and left for about 3 or 4 minutes. Also, a little goes a long way, so despite the fact that it's expensive, it's just the best product I've found and will last me a long time. Read more

Review:Got this color by mixing 2 parts of the pastel pink and 1 part of the hot pink shampoo together. Put it on in the shower and let it sit for 30 minutes. I absolutely LOVE this product it's so easy to use, the results are amazing AND it fades out beautifully to the blonde I had before using the shampoo. Read more

Review:This summer, my salt and pepper hair started to look mostly silver and I stopped coloring it. My stylist gave me a travel bottle of this shampoo and its related conditioner for my turning-silver hair for Christmas. Oh. My. God. After the first time I used it, I wondered how I ever managed without it? This stuff makes my silvers almost white and takes the other brassy tones out of what's left of my darker hair. I hope they never stop making it! Read more

Review:Best product ever invented. I am going gray and wanted to put make all of my hair a more silver tone. I tried bleaching and using several different types of silver dyes, but nothing worked. The final product was always yellow and nasty oranges. My wonderful hairdresser found this product and after the first time my hair turned into a beautiful silver. I am getting compliments on old lady gray hair and it's all because of this wonderful new system of coloring your hair. For fun I used a little of the purple and got a very soft lavender, it looked amazing and washed out. The multitude of colors and the ease of use make this product my favorite hair care products ever! Have fun or keep with the more natural colors, have fun without the destruction of your hair. Review:Great on bleached hair. Love that it isn't permanent. I mixed with conditioner as it is pretty drying on the hair. Color was beautiful! So many people love the pink and the silver on me. Tell them all about this great product! Read more

Review:This product used to be fantastic. It’s easier to use than dyes or toners which wash out after 2-3 washes and then require a couple of hours very week to reapply. But they must have changed the colour base. It used to come out a dark rich pink and then easily stain my hair. Now it comes out a light pale pink and even if I use it every shampoo, it barely reflects pink tones in my hair let alone stain it pink. If you have white hair, it may work better but make sure to use lots of conditioner (otherwise it does really dry out the hair) and a low sulphate shampoo when you alternate so it doesn't strip out any colour it may or may not have created in your hair. Would Have recommended with previous formula. Would not anymore. Read more

Review:This shampoo is great for maintaining colour! I have naturally black hair and went to the salon to have it dyed purple. They did have to bleach it A LOT then dyed it the shade of purple I wanted. It has now been 2.5 months since I had my hair done and using this shampoo once every two weeks has been more than enough to maintain the colour! The picture shows the purple of my hair in natural outside lighting (it looks much darker indoors). This would not work on dark hair, you will need to lighten it for it to work. I got some shampoo on the black parts of my hair one time and it turned a brown ish colour. Read more

Review:This is the second time I have bought this the first I purchased was purple and the second light blue. I have quite dark brown hair which has been lightened at the bottom and this shampoo was amazing for changing the colours for a while. The only problem is you must be careful as you need to leave on for a few minutes to really get the most use for it and it can stain your bathroom Read more

Review:Updates at bottom! I've used this product in 3 different colors so far and here are the things that I like and dislike about them. First off, let it be known that the Viral shampoos and conditioners work better are hair that is already colored. I know a lot of negative reviews about this product feature things like, "it didn't color my hair at all" and what not and that is because when you are doing it on blonde/lightened/bleached hair, it doesn't work as great (in my opinion). I first used this product in purple and because of my hair type, I have to wash my hair everyday, which means my color fades out that much faster. I like to use this shampoo every other day, with regular shampoo in the days in between, to make my color last longer. I'm talking like 3 months without having to redye my hair. The shampoo is a super saturated color that puts in pigments your hair without having the harsh factor of pure dye. As a shampoo, it's decent but with my hair type, I have to super clean my hair with my other shampoo on the other days I use it because this one doesn't wash it as well. I like to have it sit in my hair for a few minutes before washing it out and I usually have it in my hair for at least 10-15 minutes on the weekend while I shave and whatnot. I've also used the shampoo in the "teal" and silver colors. I put teal in quotations because that color isn't really teal to me, it's more of an aquamarine. But it worked just as well as the purple did in keeping the color in my hair. I've used the turquoise in the Viral Conditioner but I didn't like the conditioner as much as the shampoo as I felt it didn't hold the color as good. I used the "teal" shampoo for 3 months and then the aqua conditioner for 2 1/2 months right afterward and my blue color lasted for 6 months without having to redye it. I'm currently using the silver and it's probably the one that has worked the least best. I know silver is an extremely hard color to manage and keep up but I feel like I need to be using it everyday to hold the silver color. And I've been told that people can only really notice the silver in certain lighting, otherwise, it just looks blonde. I'm still giving this shampoo 5 stars because I know it works well with certain colors. I'm sure that eventually I will be trying out every color and I hope they work just as well. PROS: Makes color last a few months if used every other day Shampoo doesn't dry up or damage hair Teal and purple work well CONS: Only really works well with pre-dyed hair Not a great shampoo to clean oily hairtypes Silver needs to be used everyday to be maintained Update: I just redyed my hair a vivid purple ombre and bought the purple shampoo again. It still works perfectly but I did forget to mention in my previous review that the shampoo has a tendency to dye your hands when you shower. I noticed that if I don't wash my hands quickly enough after shampooing my hair, I might have some purple tinge to my hands for a bit of the day (especially if they are really dry and cracked - blame Canadian winters). It will always come off after a couple of hand washes though. It will even slightly tinge your nails so just a forewarning to be careful and don't let it linger on your hands for too long! Read more

Review:Even after just one wash it has left a pretty pastel rose shade on my pre-lightened pale yellow hair. One of the best pink shampoos I have used. It is a bit pricey for what it is as Bleach London’s rosé shampoo and conditioner combined give the same sort of colour for about half the price ( About £13 for both) of this shampoo but they are not as pigmented as this shampoo. This product is a bit drying but nothing major and it smells like lemon hand wipes which isn’t a bad thing for me personally but maybe something for people who are wondering on the scent. I would definately have this as a quick colour switch up as a straight colour or a top up! Read more
