Review:Bind the exposed edges before use with nail polish or something to extend life of tiles. Other than that, they are perfect for unplanned encounters or those where very little terrain is used. Used my tiles for hundreds of encounter, taken apart and moved tiles around in many a labyrinth or chase, and with a little whiteboard cleaner they look like they did the first time I set them on the table and said, "Roll initiative." Review:Used these for the first time last weekend and they met every one of my needs perfectly! -Unlike vinyl mats, these are stiff and lay flat. Unlike folding boards, these aren't prone to tearing and have less risk of delamination. -Both wet and dry erase markers clean up easily. -They're modular, so if you don't have much table room you can just lay down one tile at a time. It's is also great for keeping parts of the dungeon hidden. -They're also double-sided, so you can prepare up to eight map sections in advance. -Because they're about the size of a normal sheet of paper, they're super easy to transport. I store them in the original bubble mailer for extra protection. I also took the advice of another reviewer and coated the edges with clear nail polish to prevent delamination. My one complaint would be that the interlocking tabs on some of the boards seem to fit a little awkwardly depending on which one is its neighbor. Read more

Review:I took a chance on this because it didnt have any reviews when I purchased. I got 2 packs of these for dnd because it was a much cheaper option than other boards and has good dimensions. It came packaged very nicely and with protectors for the edges and everything. The material is like layered cardboard with a lamination layer on both sides. Both dry and wet erase seem to work just fine on it. Im very suprised this item didnt have reviews especially with how cheap it is. The only downsides being that if youre not careful with your things the corners may get damaged with use, and that the different sides are not connectable. That means you cant connect an 11" side to the 8" side (without the boxes getting cut in half at least). Overall though I think I definately got my moneys worth for the product. Read more

Review:I love my battle mat and this is simply better. These fit perfectly along side my books in my bag or shelf, and when I'm using these they sit perfectly flat -- battle mats can curl at the edges. It'd be slightly better with a tan background, but the price was right for these in white. I use wet erase markers with a chisel tip for thick bold drawings of walls, rivers, and other terrain. Wet erase doesn't smudge when moving minis over the board. The boards clean up to perfectly white, even a couple of days later. Read more

Review:I got two packs of these, so I would have a little bit more room, but even one tile has saved me from redrawing maps. These tiles are great for quick encounters, pre-drawing maps, or even quick sketching. I took the advice of other reviewers and bound the edges with a 50/50 mix of white glue and water. It was a small chore, but the boards feel much sturdier now. I use Crayola Washable Markers on my Chessex battle mat and these tiles. There is some beading, but it's workable since I clean the mat after every session. The picture attached is of the various colors and how they look on the vinyl mat and the these tiles. Read more

Review:This is a 4 pack of dry erase cardboard with 1” grid. Each is about the size of a page of letter paper, and has a length of 11” and 8” width. Together, it is 22” long and 16” wide, which is not large enough for most tactical combat in D&D or similar tabletop games. Two packages would yield 8 leaves, which would be a 32”x22” surface. For the price, I think it’s decent option for a DM. I like that I can hide part of the map, or prepare both sides in advance. The sides are not laminated or sealed in any way, and as pressed cardboard they are vulnerable to splitting or water damage. A minor negative but something to keep in mind for those who need to transport the tiles of have drinks at the game table. Read more

Review:I actually bought this to practice writing Japanese characters, utilizing the square grid to write them correctly. It works great for this! They are sturdier than I thought they would be. You don't have to put them down on a flat surface to write on them, they're completely rigid and flat. It's a great value! Read more

Review:These are quite thick (think the covers of an RPG hardback), and come packaged very, very well. I did "seal" the edges as other have suggest (just with Mod Podge rather than nail polish), and I can really see that extending the life of the tiles. I also really like that these are pretty much exactly the size of a typical RPG hardback -- makes them super easy to transport. For $10, these would be a five-star product. As it is, they're a bit pricey per square inch compared to other, similar solutions. Read more
