Review:We switched to this diaper (size 1) when our baby was 3 weeks old after she started developing rashes on her bum that her previous fragranced diapers (Pampers Swaddlers size NB) seemed to be exacerbating. SIZING This seems to be one of the top concerns of prospective buyers, so will be as detailed as I can about it here. The Size 1 is marked as being for babies weighing between 4-9lbs. I cannot for the life of me imagine how a baby under 7 lbs (let alone a 4lb baby!) could fit this diaper. Unless this is like the diaper version of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, there is no way that range is possible. For reference: My baby was about 21" and 8.5lbs when we switched to this diaper. The Size 1 was HUGE on her, but the durability, absorption, softness and overall quality was unmatched, so we made it work until she grew into it. We also tried Honest Company, Whole Foods 365, Babyganics, and Naty brand diapers - all size NB. Of ALL these diapers, Bambo size 1 ran the largest (see my photo of all diapers side by side). It is about as wide as the Naty but 1/2 inch taller, and fit a bit looser than the Naty despite their seemingly similar dimensions because the Bambo material is relatively "flat" whereas the Naty was more "puffy." My baby is long for her weight, and the Pampers Swaddlers actually were the perfect fit for her proportions. The Babyganics and the Pampers Swaddlers had very similar proportions, but we still preferred the Bambo over the Babyganics because it was less stiff and felt more comfortable. The Babyganics was our backup diaper though, and still a fine diaper if you are specifically looking for an unscented eco friendly diaper that fits similar to Pampers Swaddlers. My baby is now 12lbs and 23" long and has been in the Size 1 from age 3 weeks - 9 weeks. She still fits Size 1, but just barely. Because she is starting to outgrow the Size 1, she has blow outs and leaks more frequently (probably 1 every 10 soiled diapers vs 1 out of 30-40 when it fit properly). She is still a little too small for the Size 2, but if our earlier experience is any indication, we should be fine letting her grow into the Size 2, and plan to switch to that size once we run out of Size 1s. Fit tips: You may need to attach the tabs as far as they will go to the front center panel to get a tight enough fit if your baby is lean. This might mess with the leg openings, so you may need to manually pull up the front sides to ensure the leg holes are snug. Finally, a good upwards tug on the back of the diaper when you're done never hurts anybody! QUALITY There is little I can say that other reviewers and BabyGearLab (which is how I found this brand of diaper) have not already covered. I echo previous reviewers on the amazing absorption and quality of this diaper. It can easily absorb 2-3 big pees for overnight use. My baby is a powerful wet fart/pooping machine, and this diaper can contain all but her most explosive eruptions. It is also the softest, most comfy diaper I've seen so far. The elastic led ruffles are soft and stretchy. The interior is fabric like. The diaper does not chafe or leave lasting marks on my baby's skin. ECO FRIENDLINESS This diaper is truly fragrance free and dye free, and the Abena/Bambo company is unbelievably transparent about their practices (check out their website for more info than you thought you could want on a diaper). I feel good about putting my baby in this diaper. Maybe not as good as I would using cloth diapers, but for a disposable it is pretty hard to beat. CAVEATS - Runs big (see SIZING section above and my comparison photo) - Pricey. As a breastfed newborn, my baby could easily go through 10+ diapers a day for the first few weeks, or 3 packs per week. Now she goes through 5-7 diapers a day, or 2 packs per week. Highly recommend using Subscribe and Save to keep the costs down, but even so, you may be paying anywhere from 15-30% more for Bambo vs other brand name or generic diapers. For me, the extra $15-$20 per month is doable, but I understand that may not be possible for everyone. Other than those two caveats, there is literally nothing I can find fault with in this diaper. Every baby bottom is different (and adorable!), but for us, this is the holy grail of diapers. Read more

Review:These were our favorite brand of diapers. Very few leaks or rashes and we felt good knowing that there’s no unnecessary chemicals in them. But then I noticed in this recent package a few diapers have these strange brown spots on them. I cut them open and it almost appears to be mold. The diapers arrived tightly packed and sealed in plastic. Only a few have these spots. There is no odor. Very strange. I’ve contacted Bambo Nature directly for a response. Until I get a satisfactory explanation these diapers will not be used and I will not recommend them to anyone. 1/24/18- After speaking with a customer service rep and a few email exchanges she let me know what she had never heard of an issue like this before nor could she think of what it could be. The diapers are manufactured in a closed facility with no human contact. My issue and photos were forwarded over to production to try and get to the bottom of it. In the meantime customer service apologized profusely ( not even there fault) and they have sent me 2 free packs of diapers and a baby body wash. I haven’t come across any more spots in the new diapers. Customer service was very professional and very easy to reach and incredibly responsive. I am back to being a very satisfied customer. Review:I love these diapers because they are biodegradable and no dyes extra perfumes and minerals and when I started buying them they were about $60 for 180 and now there are nearly $100 for an 180 how can it go up almost $30 or more and a one month. I understand that this subscribe and Save deal but I've been doing the subscribe and save for over a year now I think I should get a little bit more of a price break. And for it to go up $20 every month it's kind of hard to budget for diapers that you need for your baby's butt especially when you want to have good quality suck of thus brand. Read more

Review:I really love these diapers and have used them for three years when I haven't cloth diapered. I made the switch back to disposables and have been buying these for the last few months, but it looks like the price has been increasing dramatically. For that I give this product 3 stars, I feel like I'm being seriously ripped off. Read more

Review:These newborn diapers are so disappointing! I have used Bambo exclusively for over a year with my daughter, no issues. She's currrently in their size 4, and they work great for us. So I ordered the newborn size for our new baby...what a mistake. These diapers stick to her butt, literally. Like every single time, not just one or two faulty diapers, but every one. We MUST put diaper cream all on her bottom and even the lower part of her back or else when we change the diaper it sticks to her skin causing her to wail as we pull it off to clean her up. Please note- I change my baby's diaper religiously every feeding every 2.5-3 hours, so she's not just sitting in her soil forever causing the stick. It's definitely a defect in the diaper itself. My poor baby! The whole idea of using a brand like Bambo is to minimize my baby's exposure to chemicals, etc. However, I'm having to use diaper cream every single time I change her to prevent it sticking to her, which defeats the purpose. These diapers are not cheap, but I considered the cost worthwhile for offering an better alternative to my baby's skin. Unfortunately, that is not the case with these and I'm disappointed that I wasted the money on these. I'm off to search for a new brand of diapers, and I'm considering changing my other daughters as well since Bambo doesn't seem to have consistent quality control across their sizes. Read more

Review:We have started using these chemical free nappies for our little boy to get rid of (and prevent) skin irritation, which these nappies did well! They have nice design and are very soft. However we did have an issue with the third and fourth package ( purchased separately on different days over two weeks) when we noticed small jelly balls all over his private area once we took the nappy off. This happened with few nappies from the same packs and we didn’t use anymore, we threw the rest out. Seems like these were a faulty packs and the inside of the nappy made its way out. Also couple of things to call out, the absorbency is not great, they definitely don’t last for overnight or longer periods. And the wet indicator is missing which I find useful. We will not buy any more size 4 nappies from this brand :-( Hope you find this helpful :-) Read more

Review:This is the third packet I have used on my 4 month old baby. Earlier I purchased 2 packets from another online platform and used it all night on my baby and never experienced any leak. This packet from Amazon, I noticed the diaper padding is slightly thinner than previous ones I used. And within 3 hours, baby started having leaks. I used the following day and same thing happened again. Purchased under non returnable item and don't know how to replace it. Cost me 999 when I feel it's not worth the money Read more

Review:I really like these nappies. I’ve used them in the US as well and the only annoying thing is that the two locations seem to have different designs on the nappy. The ones here in the U.K. are these awful huge bears and I don’t like them because they can be seen through light colored trousers. It’s really annoying and disappointing because the US ones aren’t that way. But on performance they are great and can’t fault them and would buy them again for that reason. Can also recommend to others. Soft and durable nappy. Read more

Review:Love these nappies. So soft, absorbent. Much nicer quality than the mainstream non eco friendly brands. Great for using before we transition to cloth. In my downside is the sizing is quite small compared to others and we've been left growing out quickly with a big surplus but i tried a few different ones and these were by far the nicest feel and kindest on my daughter's bottom. Only had leaks when my put on incorrectly or when needed to go up a size. My daughter slept through the night (breastfed) from 6 weeks and they held through, unlike pampers which we used with our first and would regularly have to change throughout the night and have leaks - not to mention the terrible environmental impact they have on landfill. Glad we changed. Read more
