Review:I bought this because I was flying from Ohio to the Alaska peninsula for work, would be in Alaska for 40-45 days, and I didn’t want to check any luggage. I flew on Delta, and Alaska Airlines. This carry-on was large enough to hold: 13 pair of underwear, 13 pair of socks, 6 bras, 6 pair of blue jeans, 4 tee shirts, 3 long sleeve shirts, a pair of sneakers, a hooded zip up fleece safety jacket, and odds and ends of things I could stuff in the cracks. Seems unbelivable, but as my sister remarked, I’m a packing ninja. Once I boarded the plane I was able to fit it into the overhead bin without problem, perfectly. As a warning for those considering expanding it for that extra room: DON’T! Unless you want to go through and take stuff out when it won’t fit. This carry-on fit through the bin opening with no extra room to spare. I had a layover in Chicago, and walked to a different terminal, which seemed like a million miles away. The wheels worked perfectly, the handle was sturdy, and when I stopped to wait at my gate I was able to set my back pack on top of it without any trouble. The outer shell is rugged, the zippers performed as would expect a zipper to perform. While I didn’t expand the sides for additional room, I played with it to see if it worked right, and it did. While I’m not excessively rough with my belongings, I expect a product to stand up to everyday wear and tear, and I don’t baby things. This carry-on did not disappoint. During the trip and afterwards, it has been banged around, dropped repeatedly while full and empty, slid on its front across a concrete parking lot, and yes it shows some wear but not as much as you would expect after heavy use. As a reminder, don’t mess with the included lock until you have read the directions on how to operate it. All in all, this carry-on exceeded my expectations. Read more

Review:I know that this item has 600 plus reviews, so there may be little to know chance of me being viewed when a customer comes to a buying decision for this item. But in the slim chance that an eager customer comes across this review, please read the three points below:.. 1. This luggage is priced so low for a reason. (Mine broke within 5 uses, see images) 2. The "WARRANTY" policy is a complete joke (see image below for all of the hoops you have to jump through to return a garbage just to get another garbage bag) 3. Customer service department is hard to get a hold of and then is a completely rude excuse for a Customer Service department. Just an FYI, you are going to want to search for "Fox Luggage" on Google. They hide behind the Rockland brand because it is terrible luggage. Don't be like me, penny wise and pound foolish. I made the mistake you can avoid. Spend a little more money and go with a REAL company. Anyone who travels regularly frequently will rip through this luggage in a matter of a few trips. Amazon's Return Period will be over (30 days) and you will be left with a trashed bag, an asinine return policy designed to de-incentivize you from returning the luggage, a crappy customer service department, and out $125.00 bucks, wishing you spent a little bit more for something worth a damn. Check these pieces of luggage out instead: Just type the ASIN into the search bar on Amazon.com... Well, simply they are better because they aren't Rockland... Which instantly makes them better than Rockland, a sorry excuse for a manufacturer of luggage. Review:I went on an 8-month round the world trip with these two suitcases (maybe 100 hotels, about 40 flights) and they held up very well - apart from the wheels. There is some light scuffing and pressure damage on the plastic but no breaks. The wheels however, well that's another story. If you load these cases up to their rated capacity (which is easy because they are *spacious* inside) the wheels will give way within a few weeks. The joint between the wheel and the case breaks and the wheel will then be at an angle. Eventually, the rubber part of the wheels came off too, although that took much longer to happen. However, for the price, these can't be beat. The wheel damage is easy to repair. I bought some quick plastic glue and some Gaffa tape and repaired a few of the wheels maybe 2-3 times over 8 months. The wheels do work even when the rubber tire comes off. Inside they are very functional. What I love about them is the clamshell design, which means you can open the case flat and have essentially two suitcases worth of capacity. I used the expanding zipper feature many times too and it was a lifesaver. The handles are very durable and did not sustain any major damage. They are extremely lightweight. It's hard to describe how light they are until you have them in your hands. All in all, I liked these enough that I replaced them when I got back from my trip with the identical model. Very good value. *UPDATE*: I ordered a replacement set (June 2017) and the wheels have been completely redesigned since my last order (September 2016). Instead of one wheel per corner, there are now two, which should help with heavier loads; and the joint between the wheel and the case seems sturdier than before. Hopefully this will fix the wheel issues - time will tell! *UPDATE 2*: It's now June 2019 and I'm still using the second set. After many more trips - airports, hotels, cars, you name it - the cases are still in excellent condition with no damage. The new wheels have held up very well and still work as well as the day I received them. Excellent. Read more

Review:this product was given to my son for his 12th birthday - he loves it - we just finished multiple aircraft segments and heavy use for three weeks over Xmas holidays! Case stood up really well. Wheels / ball bearings etc spin really well , very light and a bit flexible - better than some other cases we have - zero damage after checking multiple times - also fit really well on overhead bins on American, Jet Blue, Surinam airlines. No problem. Zippers work well and interior compartments are spacious - no wasted space - handle extends and retracts without problems - GREAT product!! Read more

Review:Package came before estimated time. Looks beautiful. Decided to look over every part of each case for any defects. In the 28", saw a little crack under the lining...not sure how much it will hold up for the next few years but will surely monitor. Rockland has a 3 year warranty so would definitely use if defect gets worse. Read more
