Product Description The bright colors, bold patterns and easy-to-grasp bumps make this ball a must-have. The high contrast colors of the ball allow baby to focus, strengthening vision. The gentle rattle sounds from the trapped beads create neural connections in baby's brains from birth through 3 years of age. Chunky sized bumps on the ball encourage reaching, grasping, and transferring from one hand to another, developing baby's motor skills. The differing materials engage baby's developing tactile sensitivity and teach baby about variety. From the Manufacturer Sassy Developmental Bumpy Ball promotes the development of fine motor skills and involves planning and motor speed, visual tracking, reaching, object manipulation and grasping. From about 6 months, babies will begin to demonstrate these fine motor skills. The Sassy Bumpy Ball has been designed to help baby with all of the developmental skills. The Sassy Bumpy Ball also promotes development of gross motor skills including movement of the limbs and torso. Physical coordination such as sitting on own, whole body movement including locomotion and coordination, balance and motor planning are all involved in development of gross motor skills.2010 Oppenheim Toy Platinum Award.

Review:I took this away from my baby after about two weeks of use - I kept noticing tiny plastic fibers sticking out of the soft bumps... I would pick them off, maybe it was just because it was new, but new ones kept poking out. The more I looked, the more I saw - and this had been in my baby's mouth! Who knows where these fibers have been - this thing is made in China, and I can't say I trust the quality of this item anymore. So it's not going anywhere but in the garbage now. Read more

Review:This product is a great idea. Very nice colors and textures... will definitely keep the babies engaged. Only downside I see is that one of the bumps started peeling on the first day! It's meant for 6 months and up so you have to figure the kids are going to start teething. I'm glad I caught this before my little one started eating this! Very disappointed! Read more

Review:Smaller than expected, but the size is actually perfect. My four month old neice loves it. It's fun for her to feel all of the different textures. I'd recommend! UPDATE: niece is now nine months and still loves this toy, can beat that price. Read more

Review:I really wanted to like this. There's so many sensory play aspects to this that I thought my infant son would love. Ultimately, it was too large and hard to hold on to the bumps that protrude from the ball for a small hand. Only recently has my 24 month old been able to pick it up without putting it down immediately. Also, it is nearly impossible to clean. There are plastic pieces, shiny vinyl-esque pieces, and true fabric pieces. My son got the flu at one point (around 10-12 mos) and I tried to clean it, but ended up wiping it down hard with a chemical-laden sanitizing wipe and then hoping for the best. There are far better sensory development toys out there that can be properly cleaned. Read more

Review:My baby will be 5 months in a week and she was a preemie. She weighs 14lbs and still wears 0-3 months. She loves this toy since she mastered using both hands. She picks it up with no problem and like all her toys drops it and needs some mommy assistance. She plays with it in her car seat, swing and laying around on her toddler mattress on my living room floor. So for the moms who hesitate or put off this toy because of the many reviews that say it's to big, I say it depends on the kid. If your baby is developing at a normal rate or faster this toy is great from 4 months on because it's bright, has many textures, makes noise and has lots of bumps to help with grabbing it. I added pictures to help show how well she handles it! It being so big I feel help her hold on to it longer and also to pick it back up because she can see it next to her causing her to reach for it. Review:This toy is so cheaply made. These reviews must have been paid for because this is junk. I would never give this to my 5 month old. When it arrived the plastic which holds the balls was detached from the toy and inside the fiber fill is expose which can cause a choking hazard to my little one. My mom saw the toy and asked if this was purchased from the dollar store. Had to throw the toy away because its literally a choking hazard for babies. DONT BUY THIS! Read more

Review:Such a classic toy for older babies! We introduced this toy too early and it was a little bit of sensory overload for our newborn. Now that the baby is learning to crawl and grasp better, it's just right! Remember to try toys again on your kids at different times and only one toy at a time. You never know what might work. This is labeled as a toy for a 6 month old so it was my bad. To encourage crawling I put this right out of reach. Because of the bumps, it will never roll away too far and might be encouraging for your baby to keep trying to "get it". Read more

Review:This is cute and sure will help with developing skills but... it's non-washable. You cannot put it in contact with water and if your baby pukes on it - as they do, you know - you're doomed. A bit unfortunate that you only get this information when you have ripped the packing open! Read more

Review:My baby loves this toy. It's nice and bright to easily catch his eye and it makes a pleasant noise when the beads rattle against the plastic. Definitely great value for money and would make a lovely gift for a new baby. Read more
