Review:They have changed! Now more blue and darker! I have had my original pair for about 5 years and they have been my favorite glasses. The lenses block out just enough light to work great in bright sun, but aren't too dark indoors or while driving. These glasses fit my face perfectly and are very light. My original pair lenses are separating at the bottom. It's because these are frameless and when set on a surface, the lens layers are actually touching the surface. Over time, they can delaminate. It is not in my field of vision yet, so I still wear them. I just got my new pair in from Amazon. I noticed that every store I checked, they were Made in China. I checked numerous local SunGlass Huts, Saks, Macys, the airport sunglass store, etc. All were Made in China. I figured if they all were now, I might as well get them as cheaply as possible on Amazon ($95). The Made in China lenses are darker than my previous pair. They also seem to be more reflective and have a blue hue to them. Note that the printing on the inside are the exact same model, with the exception of Made in China versus Made in Italy and the old versions also say TOP BAR. The fit feels the exact same, but I am not sure I like the lens darkness. Time will tell if build and material quality are the same. See pics of differences. Photo 1: Blue lenses are the Made in China version. Photo 2: The darker are the Made in China version. You can see the delamination of my old pair in the bottom part of the lens. Photo 3: Writing is exact same, except new version don't say "TOP BAR". Photo 4: Writing is exact same except China vs Italy. Read more

Review:The product description advertises glass lenses. They are plastic. I requested an exchange for the product that is advertised - glass lenses. They sent again, a pair of plastic lens sunglasses. Read more

Review:While these look great and wear comfortably, the screws holding the nose pads are visible in the line of sight and not adjustable by moving the nose pad supports to reposition. Looking straight ahead, the screws are slightly noticeable, but when driving and looking to left or right, the screws become very annoying and distracting. Read more

Review:These are excellent "rimless" wraparound frames. The RB3183's give you a 90s nostalgic feel of what sunglasses used to be like. This is where the similarities end. These are like many other Luxottica products "made in china". $140+ for some sunglasses and they are made in China? Come on Luxottica! But this is what happens when a Conglomerate giant buys all the great companies. Love the design but not the orice they sell them for. I bought the non polarized version as it helps when you drive a car with window tint. Non polarized do not show you "birefringence" the polarization of light on tempered glass with tint. By all means buy this product when it is on sale for $100 like I did. But do not buy it for full price. It just isn't justified! Other than that cool design! Read more

Review:Tried these (gun metal & polarized) @ sunglasses hut a week ago and they were amazing. I wanted to get them immediately, but they were pricey. So I searched on Amazon daily and read the reviews on Amazon and also on various sites. Finally, found a great price (55% cheaper) and decided to order them. Now there is a lot of discussion about where these are made - Italy vs China and the quality. After doing the research and looking at the product, I don't think there is any different at all as the same manifacturing company makes them whether made in Italy or China. The craftsmanship, materials, detail and quality are virtually the same. The ones that say: Made in China, are not necessarily fake. Even Rayban has stated that this model as are several of their other models made in China. The seller I got these from via Amazon sold me authentic Raybans. I am extremely pleased with these shades and am thinking of getting another pair as a back up. Good luck on your purchase. Read more

Review:I've been a long time owner of the RB3183 style sunglasses and I can say unequivocally that they've been worth every penny. They're comfortable, look good, and most importantly they help me see better. The tint is not very dark, hardly noticeable in fact; What they do is reduce the glare so that you're not constantly squinting. Great for driving or anything outdoors, really. I bought these to replace my last pair which finally developed a crack after something heavy was dropped on my head while I had them propped up. They're still intact and the crack is not visible while wearing them but I wanted to replace them before it got worse since I wouldn't want to have to go without them. I used to scoff at expensive sunglasses but these have made me a believer. Read more

Review:These are wonderful sunglasses. I have a pair that I have had for years and needed to replace them due to scratched lenses. I ordered one pair thinking the lenses were light like the picture, however, they came and were way too dark, almost black. I called and the representative said they would replace them, thinking an error was made. The second pair came and they were the same dark lenses, nothing like the picture. They, too, had to go back. I am so disappointed!!!! and wonder how I can get these Ray Bans with a lighter color lens. Read more

Review:These are stylish glasses. They feel a little more fragile than most Ray Bans, but this should be expected for a minimal build. They are made in China, but after some research I found Ray Ban has plants in Italy and China. There is absolutely no reason to believe these are knockoffs like some reviewers claim. The construction quality screams Ray Ban. The big question is, are these glasses worth $80-100? I'd say probably not (I bought these off a gift card after I broke my Sundogs). I don't believe any sunglasses are worth more than $25 Having the brand Ray Ban etched on to them will undoubtedly drive up the price, however I will say, compared to the previously owned Sundogs Lasers (~$50, also excellent glasses & renowned brand), the Ray Bans have a metal frame, better quality lens, and spring hinged frame which make them feel a but more sturdy and functional. Not to mention, these glasses look a little sleeker. Read more

Review:Bought these as an exact replacement to the ones I left behind in a hotel in Italy; had driven 150 miles in the hire car before realising I’d left them behind! I was so gutted I nearly took the decision to do the 300 mile round trip to get them back but I realised for the cost of the petrol I’d be well on the way to buying a brand new pair… Anyway, whether they look cool or not or fit well is obviously dependant on the shape of an individual’s face and their taste so there’s no point spending any more time on subjective matters such as style or fit save to say they fit me snug and I look very, very cool indeed, let me tell you… It’s true. In fact I look so cool someone once mistook me for Ryan Gosling... It’s true. (Alternative fact). Now to the objective bit… The lenses. Times past I always begrudged spending more than £40 or £50 on what essentially is a piece of wire and two plastic lenses so always avoided expensive brands. However, a few years back when I tried these new polarised lenses I realised these were more useful. These are not just safe from a UV perspective but also from subtle through to blinding glare; the difference between polarised and normal lenses is massive when performing tasks where excellent vision is paramount. For example, when driving you would not believe how much these filter out glare from the dashboard, windscreen and road (especially when the sun is reflecting off a damp surface). Normal lenses just reduce some of the glare but also all of the other detail; polarised lenses completely filter out reflective light. Another example is when out at sea; when on a boat I noticed I could actually see deep into the clear blue water instead of being blinded by the suns reflection on the crests. I tried my wife’s normal ray bans and the glare remained and I couldn’t see anything beyond the surface. So, these lenses are like… magic. I can’t wait until they release the x-ray version. Review:I bought these because they looked great, similar to a pair I had previously owned. Unfortunately I returned them because they're clearly faulty, or badly designed. The brow of the glasses sits too low, so they don't actually do what they're designed to do, because the sun just shines in from above into my eyes, even pressed up against my face. The screws holding the lens sits right in the center of my peripheral vision, so if I look to the side, my vision is massively impaired making these basically unusable. The corners of the lens sit on my cheeks because they're too curved. Read more

Review:I used to have a lot of designer sunglasses but I lost them all in a house fire so this was the first pair of raybans I've brought in a while.. There very light wight so light they don't sit on your head if lift them up to say go in a shop, they just fall off unless you put them right on top of your head.. There also a little small for my liking weird how there small but not stay on ya head, it's not a huge deal I'm just used to lifting them up when going in shop's, paying for stuff or talking to people and these just fall back on to your face all the time gets a little annoying I ended up taking them off completely 😔 Read more

Review:I bought these sunglasses for a holiday in Italy and they did not disappoint. They look great - stylish, with a slight hint of wrap-around - are very comfortable and suitably dark, with full uv protection. As a nice touch, the name RY Ban is written in white at the top of the right lens (out with field of vision). They come with a nice case, to fit the curved shape of the glasses, and a lens cloth. When not on holiday, I keep them in the car as they're good for driving on those rare bright sunny days. I love them and they are worth every penny. Read more
