Review:I love KC products as they are usually sturdy and made with good material. This backpack is no exception. But the TSA laptop compartment make no sense to me because there's nothing to hold the laptop and it will slide off once you completely open it. I think the whole TSA idea is just a gimmick, it take 2 seconds to pull out the laptop, compared to the line you've been waiting on, it's irrelevant. There are too much paddings among compartments because of the TSA design, therefore the useable space inside is greatly reduced. Besides, TSA's inconsistent practice doesn't guarantee you don't have to take out the laptop. I'll go for a none TSA one as it can hold more inside. Read more

Review:The Reaction Dual Compartment TSA-friendly backpack has nearly all of the features I was seeking without a $200 or more pricetag. It's well arranged--well thought out, and reasonable in quality. HOWEVER, being touted as a travel and TSA-friendly backpack, there are NO locking zippers...???!!! The straps are adequate quality for my travel needs, yet I think for long-term they are a bit on the flat/non-padded side compared the the well cushioned back panel. The lining is beautiful and stylish, but all of it is "crunchy" sounding--probably again a bit on the cheap side. If you're like me and want a secure computer backpack for travel, the dealbreaker is that there are no locking zippers! Back it goes to Amazon--using a cable lock on a zipper pull isn't what I'm looking for.... Read more

Review:In comparison to my prior Targus model, slightly smaller but thankfully does not have any bottom or full side zippers that will split apart when you shoulder the pack. The Targus cost me a 17" laptop because the zipper holding it on 3 sides, split and the computer shot out of the pack onto a concrete floor and was a total loss. On the negative side though, the bag is on the smaller side and lacks all of the equipment compartments the Targus had. Also, the Shoulder straps are skimpy and don't have any opportunities to use lashing straps and carbineers. No opportunities to lash anything to the back. Clearly not water resistant, not really well padded, no waist belt, not really easy to slip into if you have a Medium or large build. I had hoped the $200 price would have provided better protection and utility. Probably do well for an unloaded women's computer bag, not suitable for Road Warrier service. Read more

Review:I own about 13 backpacks currently, not counting the other dozen or so I've gone through from heavy use over the years. I really like this one and previous similar KC brand backpacks I've worn through in the past to use for work because I have a very versatile job that requires me to be prepared for different work in different places day to day. Because of this, I prefer a pack with many different pockets to keep everything organized and separated instead of having to change things in and out everyday, or using multiple packs, or using a pack with only 1 or 2 large areas inside that everything gets thrown in together. I also don't prefer any pack I use daily to take to the office to be too large and this is just the right size outside while seeming to have so much room inside. This pack has so many useful pockets and storage areas, 7 different outer zippered pockets and multiple slots and sections inside so I can easily have everything separated from my laptop, to my tablet, to folders and paperwork, to chargers for each device, to pens/markers, to small snacks and side pockets for drinks and basically whatever other items I might need, I can take them if needed. The construction is sturdy, especially the top handle and zippers, no problems with any stitching. The last KC pack I had was very similar to this one, possibly just an earlier model, and I got about 3-4 years of daily use out of it. I've had this one almost a year and you probably couldn't tell because it's still in great shape. Read more

Review:In my job (teacher) I need a lot of separate places to put various items without them jumbling up in one or two places only. This is why I have not bought some of the other popular brands that I've looked at recently. This one was pointed out to me, and it is easily my favorite of the backpacks I've had in the past. It may be a bit too big for one who wants to casually tool around the city - I live in NYC, and am frequently on the subway, up & down stairways, at school. For my purposes, it is perfect! Read more

Review:My other KCR bag (which I used for 3 years for work and travel) is the smaller compact version of this one which I still love, but outgrown its capacity. Love all the compartments and slots for my various things I need for work in this one and still have plenty of space for unexpected items. Quality as expected from KCR and durable enough to take a beating and being tossed around. Looks stylish and professional. Highly recommended this bag. Will buy again if I'm in need of another bag in the future. Read more

Review:This has all the pockets you could want and more. The build quality is off the charts. I mean everything seems like to could handle a typhoon and still be in great shape. The padding is nice and the zippers work well. It will take some time to break in the materials so its not so stiff. So why the 1 star rating? With the brand name, build quality, and price point the front top pouch should not be off center and angled. It makes the entire thing look terrible. Read more

Review:I bought this back pack when my daughter finally started hybrid school starting in April 2021. Considering last day of school was May 26th it only lasted about 2.5 months total. The stitching I noticed today when I picked her up 2nd week of school. I had expected a quality product from Kenneth Cole hopefully they will reach out and make this right. Read more
