Review:I have one recipe for maple walnut cookies that everyone loves. I was so upset when I couldn't find the small bottles of McCormick imitation maple flavoring at my store or at Amazon. And so the search began for a replacement. I bought this thinking since it was from McCormick and it was listed as the same thing as what I used before, that I had found what I needed. WRONG!! SO WRONG!! My original ingredient had an amazing smell and rich maple flavor. This product produced no flavor in my cookies. NONE. All I could taste was the vanilla chips that are in the cookies and the sugar cookie mix itself. NO MAPLE FLAVORING at all. I am so disappointed. So the search continues...... Read more

Review:This is no comparison to the 2oz bottle of maple extract from my local grocer. Thought I was getting a bang for my buck ordering in bulk but this shouldn’t even be labeled Maple because there is no maple taste what so ever. In fact there isn’t even maple listed in the ingredients like the 2oz bottles. Totally different list of ingredients all together. Strong alcohol smell and tastes like cheap vanilla. Super dark color too. I bake maple flavored donuts and this gave the appearance of adding molasses. Disappointing product from McCormick... Save your money, better off spending the extra for the tiny bottles. Read more

Review:This maple extract has a slightly maple smell with a harsh alcohol smell. It does not taste like maple- maybe vanilla or just plain alcohol. I had to use half of the bottle in a batch of buttercream to have any slight maple essence and only stopped adding because if more liquid added to the buttercream it would have started separating. Review:When this item was received,, in sounded as though it was a rock in a 5 gallon drum... tip one way or the other and it would "BANG and THUD" back and forth... When the box was opened,,, the bottle inside was loose to move the entire area of the box,, unprotected.. The only other thing in the box was a piece of paper, approximately the size of a piece of table paper,, that was being used as protection,,,,,,,, useless.. It is very obvious the the pasker,, new very well this would NOT,,, be sufficient packaging to protect this item Read more

Review:My husband was in the habit of using several of those little packets of maple flavored oatmeal for breakfast. I convinced him to try making his own using rolled oats, maple extract and a lot less sugar. He was happy to try but just didn’t think that the natural maple syrup gave the oatmeal enough flavor to suit his taste buds. I finally decided to try this McCormick imitation maple flavor and he loves it. He now makes his own oatmeal instead of using the packets and gets a lot more oats, less sugar and the flavor that he enjoys. Read more

Review:Haven’t used it yet, but it arrived with half the top broken off. I super glued part of it back on so it is at least useable. There was no padding in the box it was delivered in, thus breaking the cap. I like McCormack’s product, and the price was reasonable. Read more

Review:Great maple flavor. I once bought it at a supermarket, but haven't been able to locate it ever again. Thank goodness for Amazon! I use this in my waffle batter, cookies, whipped cream - especially delicious! Enjoy. The only BAD thing is - I ordered this item with a light bulb and someone in packaging at Amazon did the WORST job ever packing a box! Shame on you for putting a light bulb and a rolling object in the same box with no wrapping around either one, they just rolled and jammed into each other. All you had to do was put some crumpled up paper between the objects for crying out loud. Read more

Review:I am very disappointed with this product. My local grocery stores have not been stocking the small bottles of maple flavor lately so I turned to Amazon for help. I was initially excited to find this product as it seemed to be a much better value. Turns out it is not! I had to use 4X the amount and still did not achieve the same flavor. Read more
